Beatles & Bournemouth at the BBC

Now, here's a thing...
Yeah Yeah Yeah: The Beatles & Bournemouth has made it through the hallowed portals of the British Broadcasting Corporation once again. This time, BBC Online has posted a feature gallery of images from The Beatles & Bournemouth exhibition showing at the BIC until 5 September.
You can see a selection of captioned images here.
The photo above was taken by Bournemouth Times photographer Harry Taylor of his teenage daughter Sandie with The Beatles in their dressing room between shows on 19 August 1963 at the Gaumont Bournemouth.
Sandie remembers: "They were nice lads. It was exciting, but not in that silly screaming girl way."
Yeah Yeah Yeah: The Beatles & Bournemouth can be ordered for the special price of £14.95 here, along with a selection of luxury art prints of images from the book.

Mojo rising!

Interest in the story of The Beatles and their various connections to Bournemouth continues to grow.
This month the mighty Mojo magazine has let highly-regarded Beatles expert Mark Paytress lose on Yeah Yeah Yeah: The Beatles & Bournemouth. He has returned a very positive three-star review, which you can read above.
The book is also featured on the The Beatles Bookstore, a fabulous online resource rounding up various Beatles titles, including Liddypool, David Bedford’s marvellous city tour guide (and much more besides!), as well as information about authors and contact details.
Meanwhile, the Beatles and Bournemouth exhibition of photos and memorabilia has opened at Bournemouth International Centre and can be seen, for free, daily until 5 September.
Copies of Yeah Yeah Yeah: The Beatles & Bournemouth can be ordered direct from www.beatlesandbournemouth.com, as can art prints of many of the rare and previously unpublished photos from the book as seen in the exhibition.
